Budgeting

If you have loved ones who live in another country then making international calls can be a costly process. However, there are numerous sites, programs, and applications you could use to make international calls at a cheap cost, or even no cost at all.

Here are some of the most popular programs you can use which are free to download, and offer cheap and affordable rates if you want to make calls overseas:

Skype

If you haven’t started using Skype to contact your friends and family overseas, then you should seriously consider it. Not only can you use the video chat free of cost, you can also make cheap international calls at a rate of 2.3 cents per minute.

You can also sign up for Skype’s monthly subscription and make unlimited calls to nearly 30 countries for as little as $1.09 USD a month.

VoIPstunt

Don’t be fooled by its silly name, because this program allows you to call cell phones or landlines in the U.S., the U.K., Australia, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Japan and much more.

Go to www.Voipstunt.com to download the software, and then sign up for a free account. The international calling rates can be as little as a penny a minute, but if you purchase a $13 USD subscription the program will allow you to make free international calls for anywhere from 90 days to 125 days depending on how much you use the program.

KipCall

KipCall is an app that allows you to call any of your Facebook friends for free, and you don’t even need a connection to 3G or WiFi because the program uses a product called MobileGlobe to connect the call over a public switched telephone network (PSTN).

You can download the app on your iPhone, but in order to make outgoing calls from your iPhone you must register your phone number first. If you have a Facebook friend who also downloads the app, you can both call or text chat with each other for free, and also post on their wall and send each other e-mail messages as well.

You can also make conference calls use a multi-chat voice program, and there is a specific Goober program you can download for Windows, Linux, Macs, iPhones, Androids, Java Mobile, Web Messenger, and much more. Download the program for free at www.goober.com.
